USE THESE Unique Sliding Shelves for cookie sheets, muffin pans, and large or small lids. Even the small lids on your 'to go' cups are easy to find, with the small compartment in front of the Lid & Tray Shelf. The front is low enough to see what's on the shelf, and the tall sides keep things vertical so you can store more items.
Store Taller items, or hold flat items that stack up taller. These Extra-Tall Pull-Out Shelves are the same great quality and construction as our Full-Depth Sliding Shelves, but twice as tall on the front, back, and sides.
A Sliding Shelf (Pull Out Shelf) from SlidingShelf.com in "Full-Depth" means the Sliding Shelf will be a full 3" Tall on all 4 sides.
The advantages of 3" sides on your Pull Out Shelves are:
Tall enough to keep items from falling off the sides.
Short enough to still see everything that is on your Sliding Shelves.
Every Sliding Shelf on this page is Full-Depth. You will find Birch, Maple, Oak, and even Paintable Sliding Shelves. We also manufacture a Poplar wood Sliding Shelf for ShelfThatGlides.com . (One of our Sister Sites).
Fronts are 3" tall, with sides sloping up to the 7-1/2" tall backs. High-Back Sliding Shelves are specially made for tall items. The front is still low enough to see what's on the shelf, and the tall back keeps things from falling over. Nested pots and pans store well in High-Back Sliding Shelves.
Natural Birch Pull Out Shelves are a traditional favorite.
Because our edge-banded Furniture Grade Birch Plywood (we use Native Birch for it's natural beauty in variation of grain color) really looks great in any color stain, it's a favorite of many.
Slightly less expensive than other Hardwoods, Pull Out Shelves of Birch are built to carry a 75# load for the life of your home. (Take a look at our Lifetime Warrantee ) Load 'em up... these hardwood Pull Out Shelves can handle it.
Stain with either latex-based or oil-based stains for a great look. A clear polyurethane coat protects the stained finish against discoloration from spills or just from being handled. Of course if you appreciate the fine grain appearance of natural birch Sliding Shelves as we do, just apply a clear coat of polyurethane directly to the Pull Out Shelves when you receive them.
Our Sliding Shelves from Native Birch Hardwood are also free of knots, but have more variation in grain color as found in nature.
Each of the Sliding Shelves below are crafted of edge-banded Furniture Grade Birch Plywood.
A beautiful wood that comes from a beautiful tree. Pull Out Shelves of edge-banded Furniture Grade Maple are really a visual delight.
We get to enjoy the view while we produce these Pull Out Shelves of natural maple. And while we believe the appearance of natural maple Pull Out Shelves is almost a work of art, maple is also a tough wood.
Maple Sliding Shelves, just like all the rest of the Sliding Shelf production, have a lifetime warrantee. Each natural maple Sliding Shelf is built to carry the same 75# load for as long as you own your home.
Maple is another wood that stains virtually any color. Because we use only Furniture Grade to build Sliding Shelves, you may simply apply a clear coat of polyurethane to your Sliding Shelves when you receive them, or stain them first and then put on the clear top coat. Either way you're assured of an extremely nice looking Sliding Shelf that works hard for you.

Oak is one of the strongest woods available. While all of our Pull Out Shelves are built to hold a 75# load while in use, Oak Pull Out Shelves are the strongest using our available woods.
Oak also stains well, accepting virtually any color stain. A good clear coat of polyurethane may be applied directly to the Sliding Shelf when you receive it, or you may stain it first and then apply the finish coat.
Each of our Oak Pull Out Shelves are made using edge-banded furniture grade Oak Plywood. Free of knots or other defects in appearance, they look great in fine quality cabinetry.
The following Sliding Shelves are all made of oak.
Pull Out Shelves that paint well require a wood that has a close grain that is smooth. That way the grain doesn't ' telegraph ' through your finish and detract from the look when you paint your Pull Out Shelves.
We make your Pull Out Shelves in Birch when you order paintable. Typically this is an import birch with a very tight smooth grain. Built of 3/4" edge-banded Birch Plywood, each Pull Out Shelf is guaranteed for as long as you own your home. Even with a 75# load, this work horse will save you tons of back-breaking bending and stooping to find what's on your shelf... way in the back.
Just slide out the Pull Out Shelf, get what you need, and slide the shelf back. WOW ! What could be easier than that ?
We edge band the paintable Sliding Shelves because the edge of raw plywood doesn't paint well. The edge banding is also birch so your entire Sliding Shelf looks good when you're through painting.
While you can paint directly on the Pull Out Shelf when you receive it, a primer coat helps the finish coat cover, and also makes the finish even smoother. A good semi-gloss paint wears really well, but the satin or egg shell finish holds items on your Pull Out Shelf from sliding around better than the slick finish of semi-gloss. Latex based paints ' cure ' in about 30 days. After that time the paint is as tough as it's going to get. Oil based paints cure faster, but you might want to apply it to your Pull Out Shelf in the garage or outside because of the lingering odor involved. The clean-up is a little messier with oil based paints as well.

Poplar Hardwood takes any color stain exceptionally well, or is beautiful with just a seal coat. Mineral deposits absorbed while the tree grows create varying coloration throughout, providing the intriguing natural beauty of this wood. Lighter stains let this coloration show through, darker stains tend to even out the variations somewhat.
